    Jandy Aqualink Thermometer

I stuck the sensor in water to see if I could cause the short. The sensor is still working. It must be some crack along the wire.

    Jandy Aqualink Thermometer

The thermometer on my Jandy Computer just started giving me a short error. Since there are two, I swapped them. The problem moved, so I assumed it was a thermometer error. I bought a new thermometer and the error did go away. I attached the "broken" thermometer on my Arduino to test the...

    pool light flickers

It turns out that I had several intermediate junction boxes. I found the right one and installed a new fixture. My previous fixture must have been bad. The company could not give me any explaination for the flickering.

    jandy aqualink controler

Here is an update on replacing my 4-button remote. It turns out there is no intermediate junction box. The pull was about 120 feet. I first bought the rope for the pull, but the diameter was too large for the conduit. I ended up using the Klein pull wire from Home Depot. It was reasonably priced...

    pool light flickers

Could my flickering problem be caused by a bad heat sensing low water cut-off sensor? I read in the advertising literature that the Pentair SpaBrite fixture comes with this.

    pool light flickers

All bulbs seem to flicker in the spa socket. I still get 115 volts on my multimeter and the bulbs work on a known lamp inside. I still think that I am missing an intermediate junction box somewhere around the pool.

It is a 120 volt bulb for a spa.

    pool light flickers

I don't see how you could use a pool light fixture as a connnecting junction box. Pool light fixtures are under water.

    pool light flickers

I have two pool lights and one spa light. There must be an intermediate junction box to connect the pool lights together. Where is this junction box typically located? My deck is concrete with bricks on top.

    jandy aqualink controler

Thanks CA92807. That was a great explanation. My conduit is probably 100 feet. What kind of string is good for something that long. I am very afraid of the string disconnecting or breaking. I am also hoping there is no secondary junction box.

    jandy aqualink controler

I also still have a Jandy JI8000. My 4 button remote is starting to give trouble. How do I replace the remote? I assume there must be a junction box close to the remote. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    pool light flickers

My pool bulb blew. I replaced it and the new bulb flickers. I used a new gasket. I tested the bulb in an inside fixture. I used a multimeter to make sure that I was getting 120volts. I bypassed the pool light relay on the pool computer to make sure it was not the relay. My other two pool lights...

Auto Pool Cover Motor Wiring/Bypassing Limiter

I would build my own limit switch box, but I do not know how the cover limit switches work. I assumed the magnetic switches turn on or off a relay. That could work, but somehow the limit switch box knows which limit switch has been hit using only two wires for both limit switches. The limit...

Auto Pool Cover Motor Wiring/Bypassing Limiter

Where did you finally buy the PoolSaver black box with the limit switches? My limit switch box just broke.
