    Okay, sorry I have been told to shock it. So no shock. Buy liquid chlorine.

    Thank you so much. I understand that I need to add the stabilizer first. Can I use shock for the chlorine or must I buy liquid chlorine on top of adding the salt? It said to add the salt and let it dissolve for 24 hrs prior to running the salt system.
