I didn't start adding chlorine until day 5 and then very slowly. I was told too much chlorine too fast could cause problems? Definitely not running the SWG.

Monday update: FC held overnight, so it seems most of the AA has been neutralized. Water is still cloudy and clearing up every so slightly. Filter is still running 24/7. Anything else I should be doing or just let the filter do it's job?

Okay, I've been adding chlorine per JasonLion every hour so far today. I seem to be dropping about half every hour and the sun hasn't really come out yet. Question: should I be concerned with my CYA levels at this point? It's sitting around 25 while all my other levels are right in line...

I started slowly adding bleach to try to raise my FC and gradually increased the amount, but no matter how much I add it seems like I can't get my FC up to normal levels much less shock level. Should I just keep adding more? I'm not sure what's eating up all the chlorine...

Well, a week later and the water is still cloudy. Noticed some hints of my black algae coming back, so I'm trying to fight that now. Water never did clear up to let me see how effective the AA is, so hopefully I'll see when I get the levels back under control.

I think I messed up assuming the AA would bring the pH down itself so I didn't lower it prior to dosing AA. Cloudiness does seem to be clearing slowly so I'll keep running the filter. Thanks!

Just ordered my AA to give this a shot and FYI...5lb bag was $32. I'm sure that's more than I need but I figured better to have too much than not enough and considering what I've spent on BBB so far $32 ain't a whole lot. Can't wait to see the difference!
