I just recently became a supporter of TFP so, I used my discount to order new reagents. Unbeknownst to me that they wouldn't fit in my Taylor box and then had to purchase the box from TFP. Has anyone ever had trouble with their coping like this? Even one of the pool guys that came out was rather shocked at it. But, none of the pool companies have an answer for it. Also, is there anywhere on here that has recommendations/reviews for local pool companies?

I don't think we've lubed it this year. But I did notice last year that we were having air in the pump basket. We are in the process of interviewing a lot of pool companies because our pool needs new tile coping and plaster. I wonder if I should be having a leak detection done?

How long can I leave the pump run without the water filtering through? We seem to have this problem often of not being able to get the pool to prime. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have another question, not sure where to post it. Once we have the algae issue resolved, how do we determine what our "normal" levels should be? I have read on test strips,etc. that it is unsafe to get in the pool if the chlorine reading is above 3ppm. Could you please clarify?
