I have cleaned the filters and put them back in at the end of 3 pool seasons. The first pool season in 2021 was only 4-6 weeeks since the pool was installed in early fall of ‘21. So the filters overwinter inside the plastic containment with bottom plug removed and gauge removed as well.

Should I be concerned about the end caps eroding? Filters were used for 2 seasons, pool was crystal clear all summer.

The OEM replacement sensor apparently has cloth braided insulation as mentioned in another post on a forum. I did see a few sites claiming OEM that did have images with the braided insulation on the wires. Amazon came though temporarily for me with cheap $10 replacements but I am curious how...

Online it appears OEM varies between $80-150.

A pool builder/parts supplier quoted me $144 for a new SFS off their shelf.

I did read this thread, thank you as it did help me gain more understanding. Sad that manufacturers don’t really seem to care, especially when they have known issues.

I have no problems running under the cover with the cord tucked under the corner of the cover where it meets the coping. If i could only solve the problem of it getting stuck on one of the drains periodically.
