    Bubbles on output

So the leak HAS to be on the suction side to generate bubbles at the jets? Leaks on the pressure side won’t cause bubbles at the returns?

    Bubbles on output

this morning I’m noticing some drops coming off the connection where the water enters the heater, also some dripping at one of the diverter valves that controls the on/off of the waterfall. I suppose those are likely culprits?

    Bubbles on output

I believe so, yes. When I open the “bleeder” on the filter I get a steady stream of water pushing out.

    Bubbles on output

I’ll turn my SWG off to be sure but the bubbles are a result of the jet continuously “spurting” out the bubbles. When I stand over the jet I can hear the “bursts” of air.

    Bubbles on output

My pump pot is completely full of water no viable bubbles at all. I have three return jets and they are all pushing a little bit of air. One more than the other two. It’s definitely air and not SWG bubbles. Is it possible that I have a suction side leak even though my pump pot is totally full...

    Water level with light

I've lowered my water to below the returns but now find the water level at the middle of my light housing. The led light is removed but lowering below light housing seems like I'm not leaving a lot of water in the shallow end. Any opinions?

    Leak in Plubming

Hiss/Drip is coming from the highlighted joint. Haven't done a bucket test yet but I've lost about an inch and a half per week since it's been opened. Been a dry couple of weeks but it seems like i've had to top up more this year than last July/Aug/Sept when I had it built last summer. First...

    Leak in Plubming

Hi, I'm almost certain I have a leak in my plumbing. At one of my connections in the pool shed I have a drip when the pump is running. At first I thought my water loss was this, until I went into the shed this morning and heard a hissing sound. When I turn the pump off, there is a hissing...

    Water on top of cover

First time opening my pool. Due to the location of my return jets/lights, I had to lower my water fairly low in the fall. Due to the amount of snow and ice over the winter I have a fair bit of water right now in my pool but above my winter cover. Other than the debris I can see in the...

    Drain below lights?

Thanks! I'll be left with about 17" - 18" of water in the shallow end. I think I read that as long as I don't go below 8" then I'm fine. Is that correct?

    Drain below lights?

ive drained my water below the return jets, about 4", and lowered my LED lights to the bottom of the pool. I've just noticed that the waterline is now halfway across my light housing. I was hoping to just throw in some foam inside the housing as protection but wanted a second opinion. I'm trying...

    How to drain

First time pool owner and am researching and getting ready to close the pool for the first time. Two questions: 1. Seems silly but, how do I actually drain the pool? I don't have a drain in the pool and my filter doesn't have a backwash feature like most YouTube videos show. Am I stuck going...

Hot tub ring, fc and ozone

Thanks again. Adding to your point... when I was re-reading my manual today, regarding the UV system, I noticed my tub is over 500 gal and not 400 gal! I've been much too light on the chlorine calculations.

Hot tub ring, fc and ozone

Thanks for the response! I will get some ahh some. Are you saying that my fill water isn't clean because it's coming from the well? After I use ahh some and fill with my well, will I still have higher chlorine demand simply because I'm using well water? It's a clear ray uv system. I thought...

Hot tub ring, fc and ozone

Two weeks ago I filled my newly built pool and hot tub. First time owner of both, so it's been a steep learning curve. I did lots of research on this site prior to the completion of construction. This site is amazing. I haven't been to the pool store once and the pool installers thought I was...

    Intex swg just turns off

Yeah all the cables look good. I think I read somewhere that there is something on the circuit board that isn't sodered well and comes apart after enough use due to the heat the unit produces. I have no idea if this is the case but it looks like I've got a weekend project!

    Intex swg just turns off

So I just set everything up and an odd thing is happening. I turn on the swg, and pump is running off of the same outlet as it has for years, set the hours and wait for the green light to appear. A few moments later the green light appears as it normally does and almost instantly the screen...
