    What to do with exposed pipes after removing equipment for winter

    I live in NY and winters here can get pretty cold. I removed and stored the pump and inline chlorinator in the shed after winterizing. But what should I do with all the open unions/pipes? Duct tape? Stuff with wash cloths?

    Our 20-yr old concrete deck had to be cut open recently to replace the underground pressure side pipes. The pool is 16*36 with the steps, so the entire length of the work is probably 55-65 feet long in all. We've hired a contractor to come pour new cement soon. We're located in Long Island...
