What current Hayward pumps work with their ProLogic controller?

Thanks for the super-fast response. All the ProLogic controller does right now is let me automate turning on 'high speed' for a couple of hours a day, and then 'low speed' for a couple of hours a day... are you saying that it should work the exact same for the new SP3215X20XE? my installer...

What current Hayward pumps work with their ProLogic controller?

In 2011, we had our pool built and used the 1.5 HP Hayward SP32152EE variable speed pump, and their ProLogic PL-PS-8 controller. The pump has now stopped working and that pump is no longer sold, and Hayward's website says the replacement is their 2.2 HP SP3215X20XE. Our installer tells me that...

Check their BBB status. And if they offer you something that seems TOO good to be true, it probably is. We had one PB who came in $10k under the rest, and kept offering even more incentives to go with his firm... he had a lower BBB rating that the rest and I see other posts here that make me...

No problem at all!! The flagstone runners were what set this PB aside from the others for us as far as creative ideas are concerned.

Well, I guess it's time to bring this thread to an end. I've dived into the frigid pool. PB OK'd the heater turn-on, so now we've Spa'd it. We're doing our own chemistry thing for the moment and enjoying the testing and tweaking aspect so far. We've bought furniture for winter-time sessions...

Two weeks after it was filled with water, PB delivered our Polaris 480 yesterday and got it all hooked up. Immediately after a test run, he unhooked it however, and turned off everything in the pool so that all the flagstone could dry out for 48 hours before workers come to apply the sealant...

PB tells me that we need to 'brush' the pool twice a day for the first couple of weeks to work all the plaster dust and dirt down to the drains... so morning and nite we spend 15 minutes or so and sweep all the refuse down to the deep end. On the spur of the moment, even with the cool morning...

We returned from vacation to a pool full of water and all the equipment running. It was an awesome feeling!! The next morning PB showed up for Pool School. Talk about cramming 10 pounds into a 5 pound bag!! Luckily my wife took copious notes else I'd never remember all this stuff. PB owner...

ON HOLD Everything on this project moved along at warp speed through day 21, with just the plaster phase left to do. But we learned that once plastered and filled with water, you're apparently supposed to brush the pool a couple of times per day for a week or two. Since we're headed to Napa...

:goodjob: All I had in mind was a couple of hours annually to apply some fresh Thompson's Waterseal, plus check to see if I needed to apply any more Behr Redwood Naturaltone Weatherproofing Wood Stain. To be honest, I was more worried about hurricanes than sunshine.

Plumbers showed up early this morning again to lay pipe that connects pool to water faucet, finish the gas line runs to pool equip, arbor, and firepit, and basically clean stuff up. After work, the PB took us to see a few of his pools, mainly to finalize our choice of plaster and what size peagravel for the decking. It was nice to see that what we had chosen from online photos was as nice in person, so we're sticking with the 'Negril' Beadcrete/Pebble from Azteca Pebble...

 The Gunite crew showed up around 1pm (we were their 2nd shoot of the day), and immediately jumped into action. While one guy got in the pool and started shooting, the others were busily raising tarps around the edge to protect the yard and getting everything ready. Pix as they occur...

 Here's a silly thing that I did that some of you do-it-yourself'ers might find humorous.
