High limit switch light kept coming on so I bypassed the switch and now it stopped cycling off and on. Safe to assume the switch is bad and needs to replaced? Tyia

Not a bad price for what you're getting. I'd avoid Hobert after my experience with their warranty dept.

I just toss them with the rest of the recycle. Of course I always rinse the bottle with a little pool water to get every last drop out :)

Re: Intellichlor IC40 -Cleaned Cell & Green Light Still Flas 50/50 mix of Muriatic acid and water should clean it up.

I've increased my salt PPM to 4000. Recommended is 3400 PPM for the IC40 and I run my pump for 10 hrs/day. I have the output set at 60% and it keeps my FC at 6-7 PPM with CYA @50-60.

I found this out as well. Anything below about 75* and the cell does read properly. Just keep testing and add bleach if necessary. That's been my process so far.

I've paying ~$12 for the 2 gal box at lowes.

Do you have a salt test kit? I've noticed mine reads lower than what my Taylor salt test indicates. Usually the cell reads about 200 on the low side depending on water temp as well.

Mine took about 4 days to get it down from 120 to 70.

Which pump are you looking at?

I have mine currently at 60% just because it's not producing much since water temp is still a little low. Probably bump it back down to 50-54 once it heats up some more.

I didn't keep my cya high enough last summer and the sun just ate up the chlorine in our pool. Of course it was one of the hottest summers on record in the DFW area!

Also the SWCG will only generate enough chlorine within a specified water temp range. After about 82* mine work great.

Mine was starting to inch up over 430 before I did a partial drain. I got it down to 320 but it has inched back up to 360. My plaster is still new so I'm guessing the calcium is still leeching from the plaster. My fill water CH is 160 as well.

Wow sorry to hear Frank. We used a reputable builder in DFW and we didn't have too many complications from the pool build itself. The only snags have been the 5' steel tube fencing the PB subbed out to an erroneous fence builder with a degree in BS! We've had some cracking in the mortar...
