Replaced the oring on the stem today using this video as a reference. Thanks! Will check tomorrow am once the blue gasket goop i applied to the spider gasket is set.

The stem oring is that difficult to replace? In comparsion to the cost differential that is ($7 vs $180)?

It looks like only the stem oring is contributing to the leak rather than the spider gasket as i originally thought. Is it worthwhile to do both since I'm opening it up or leave well enough alone and just do the stem?

Thanks for the quick reply. Do I need to replace both seals? Is it pretty involved or straight forward? Think that is likely the cause of the air getting in? I see no obvious issues elsewhere.

Hey all! Pool opened up with minimal fanfare :) There is a leak at the multiport, which aside from losing water/chemicals, I believe is letting air into the system causing the pump to deprime after it stops running. Is this a simple case of having to replace a gasket or something else?

I opted to break down the filter for a full clean since that was quicker and easier with a second set of hands, plus it did a more thorough job. For this first night, do you think its better to leave it on filter or recirculate? If the pressure hasn't risen too much, I'll leave it on filter...

It ended up being a multi port issue. The inner diverter portion was stuck on waste despite the handle being set to filter. Reseated the the handle and it corrected the issue ?

I do replace some water every year but not usually more than 20% so I feel like there would still be some cya but it never shows up. Idk, just one of those things I guess. Any thoughts to diluting the 5 gallons of muriatic in 10 gallons of water to create a longer run time on the stenner?

literally just finished my install. Do to a snafu with the company I ordered the pump from I ended up with the 85MHP5 which is a 5 GPD max. The gearing 45vs85 and internal tube are what regulate the max per day rate. either way, seems like you cant go wrong with this setup.
