    essejM3's modest kitchen build

I did, but after much discussion on how we use our inside kitchen island we wanted to maximize space for people to sit. I don't regret that, but I will say I do regret not incorporating a fridge. We have already talked about cutting a hole in for a fridge, and the plan was always to in a few...

    Travertine Mart??

Yes I paid a boatload from Stone Mart for shipping. Try builddirect.com. We have used them for inside tile in the past, but I know they sell travertine pavers. They have warehouses all over the country, so you might get lucky if you can pick them up. You have to be flexible and add the...

    the pool that wouldn't

Kids love the pool, although the weather has been kind of weak so far this year. That and going away for 10 days didn't help. We have been working on the area between the pool and the house this year. Covered porch is complete, need to re-lay a few more bricks and button up the outdoor cooking...

Polaris booster pump hose clamp failure

Has anyone else had this problem. The hose that comes out of the top of the booster pump blows out of the fitting, and I proceed to find a geyser on my equipment pad. It happened early in the season so I bought a new hose and clamp, and now it failed again yesterday. Any ideas? I called Polaris...

    Diamondbrite vs regular plaster

Not sure where you are at, but to put it in perspective I paid $4,800 total not up-charge (I subbed out the tile, coping, and plaster) for Diamond Brite on a 18x36 last summer. Very happy with the finish!

    Polymeric sand with pavers

The wife and I actually installed them ourselves. We purchased them from http://www.stone-mart.com/, they are standard travertine thickness whatever that is and IIRC the color was called Roman Blend. Everyone that sees them gives lots of compliments, we are VERY happy with our decision. Don't...

    My never-ending backyard pool project........

How is the sound output from the marine stereo setup? My house is a good bit from the pool, thinking about doing something similar to your music setup. Your backyard is amazing BTW :goodjob:

    Polymeric sand with pavers

Here is a semi-closeup of our french pattern travertine. We put polymeric sand in early this season, it probably needs a second application as the rain has washed a bit of it away.
