This is a lot of water. And we've had the pool for 19 years and have never had this issue. The liner will start to float and you can feel the water a couple days after draining the water behind it.

So, we ended up having a leak detection company come out and take a look at it. They checked everything including the plumbing. They're certain there's no issues with the liner but did find a leak in the drain line near the pump. We asked if that would contribute to the water behind the liner...

We could try turning the pump off for a day or two. It's concrete decking. We've had the pool about 19 years and haven't had an issue prior to this summer.

I pulled some of the water and tested it. It did appear to have some CYA in it. Not as much as the pool water but there did appear to be some in it.

We haven't received it yet but we do plan to install it ourselves. My family is pretty handy and we've installed a liner before. I've been the same way. I don't post often but have been doing the BBB method for a while now. My family thought I was crazy but it's the best move I ever made. Once you get in the groove it' very simple. Congrats on the smooth opening.

We had to replace ours this year too. It still holds water but has tears where it goes into the track. We have an 18x36 inground and got a closeout liner through intheswim.com and it was a little over $800. Still waiting on it to be delivered, so can't say anything as far as quality on it yet...

Thanks, I've got the PH down and the stabilizer is about where it needs to be. I didn't want to add too much stabilizer at once in fear of adding too much. I'm going to start the shocking process tomorrow and hopefully in a few days we'll be on our way to a clear pool!
