    Waterfall keeps turning off

Thx for the response. We had a Jandy heater installed about 6 months ago. Figured out when it goes into freeze mode, the eCommand4 controller alternates between Pool and Spa mode (even though we don't have a spa), resulting in the waterfall continuously turning on and off in about 45 min intervals.

    Waterfall keeps turning off

Trying to make sure all is operational as we approach 16 degrees tomorrow morning. Our Hayward eCommnd4 valve controlling the waterfall turns off after a while. I have checked the timers menu and it appears to be ok. I want the waterfall on constantly when the main pump is on high. (Have a two...

Polaris Quattro P40 - Broken after 8 Months

I researched the P40 quite a bit before purchasing one a several weeks ago. I had not heard any problems with the gearbox failing prematurely until your post. I have read some early owners mention the hose connector to the P40 body can break if you pull it out of the water by the hose and not by...

Best Pressure-side Cleaner looking to replace Polaris 3900 Sport

Hi Pesh - I am in Austin also (Steiner). We bought a Polaris Quattro P40 about two weeks ago to replace an old Pentair side pressure cleaner. The P40 runs on the same booster pump. It is not a "robot" and doesn't have any internal chip to control the cleaning path. But it works great. It has a...

Water pulses and "knocks" using manual pool filler pipe

I did turn on the other two external bibs and had no problem with the pulsing. When we moved in 18 months ago, I had the PRV replaced at the street and the water pressure was corrrect.

Water pulses and "knocks" using manual pool filler pipe

Yes, I have that on the bib connected to the house.

Water pulses and "knocks" using manual pool filler pipe

Attached is a picture. The faucet/valve on the right connected to the PVC pipe going to the pool is the one that when the "pulsing" starts, I turn it down about half way and the pulsing stops. The hose is 1.5" and the pvc is 1".

Water pulses and "knocks" using manual pool filler pipe

We have a "y" connector to the external water bib at the back of house. I I can turn off the water flow to each side of the "y" connector. One side of the "y" is connected to my garden hose. The other side is connected to a valve and pipe that goes underground to the other side of the pool...

    Best Pool Cleaner for Leaves

This appears to be what I am looking for. Looks like they are only available thru Leslies now. Anyone know when "Polaris Days" occur for a discount? Our Kreepy Krauly is on its last days and not really picking much up any longer. 3/22/21 ETA: Went up to Leslie's today and they do have the...

    Haze in Water

Water is "clear" but there is a slight haze in the water-more noticeable at night with the pool light on. We keep the pool open during the winter (adding heater in a few months). Pump runs about 6 hours/day. Haven't looked at the chemicals for about a month but gegerally on line except CYA is...

TA - Pool Store vs TF-100

Moved into our home last summer with 3 year old pool. Had a service do the chemicals for 6 months but they didn't give it much attention. Been doing PPP. Water is crystal clear. Took in a water sample to local Leslie's Store this am and most readings matched mine (using TF-100). But they had TA...

1st Full Pool Season Approaching - Need Robot Advice

Going into my second year with a Blue Diamond without any problems. I really like it. I had Polaris 280 for about 7 years and a 380 for about 5 years. We just had our pool resurfaced at the beginning of last year. Blue Diamond is so much nicer. Cleans our pool (16 x 32) in about 90 minutes...

High Phosphates - but no algae - treat?

Phosphates level is around 2200. Leslies is trying to push some phosphate control chemicals. Our pool was resurfaced in March this year and phosphate level has been increasing ever since. We have had no algae and the water is crystal clear. Should the phosphate level be controlled? Latest...

Blue Diamond OR Dolphin Deluxe 4?

I just purchased a Blue Diamond a couple months ago and really like it. I had the Polaris 280 or 380 for the last 12 years. Really wasn't happy with the 380. We have two large oak trees over our pool so we get leaves in the spring and fall. I am not expecting the Blue Diamond to pick up the...

Pool Resurfaced - How Soon For Borates/Salt

We had our pool resurfaced this year in March. Glad to find this site and I have been using liquid bleach since the remodel. My question is should I wait a while before adding Borates and/or salt? Or is it ok to do now? My water is crystal clear and for about 6-8 weeks had to add acid daily...

We resurfaced our pool about 3 months ago. PH rose daily for about the first 6-8 weeks. Now it seems to be very stable.

    Advice on First Pool Cleaner

Another vote for Blue Diamond (without remote control). I have only had mine for about a month but it is working very well. Used Polaris 280 and 380 for about 12 years. I figured if I was spending $800 I would get the Blue Diamond as it has had good reviews and has a 4 year warranty. I use it...

Yep another Pool Cleaner recommendation thread

I have had a Blue Diamond for a couple weeks and it works very well. Previously I had a Polaris 380 and 280. It does the steps, walls and water line tile very nicely in an hour.
