Would a pool light off center this much bother you?

I explained my issue with the pool builder and he didn't give me any trouble about it, he said 'of course, we'll get that centered up'. This is what I had hoped for and expected from this outfit (based on price and previous pools they have built--my current house has one of their pools but I...

How do you route the wiring to the mini lights?

Would a pool light off center this much bother you?

Can't the scupper positions just be corrected by modifying the pipes sticking out? Have them 45/45 over to the right position? No need to remove wall for that. The plumbing pipes being so near the light placement has me worried that moving the light could cause other issues with the plumbing...

Hmm... That seems like a super expensive route to mask the problem. :)

Would a pool light off center this much bother you?

Okay, so the consensus is I’m not being picky and there is no reason this not being centered is okay. Pool builders redo this sort of thing and it should be done and not cost me anything.

Would a pool light off center this much bother you?

Gunite just occurred a few days ago and I'm watering and couldn't help but notice how far off center this pool light is on this piece of 12' straight wall which faces back toward the house. This wall will be extended up 4 feet and have 3 water scuppers that are supposed to be centered on the...

Will leaves under the rebar hurt anything when gunite is done? (pic)

My pool is getting gunite tomorrow and I noticed there are a couple areas of leaves that no one bothered to remove before the rebar went in. Will this cause any problems?

Of the CYA range 30-50 (or even 30-80), what's the sweet spot?

Correct, I inferred a level of 41 ppm of CYA due to the level of the water in the vial in relation to the 40 and 50 ppm marks after completing the test. I was going to get my CYA up to 50 ppm and so I added 8 pucks of trichlor to my inline chlorinator today which, when all dissolved, would get...

Of the CYA range 30-50 (or even 30-80), what's the sweet spot?

So as I understand it, as CYA increases, it protects FC better from destruction by sunlight. As CYA increases, you need more FC for the same level of sanitizing effect. You will lose some of this FC to sunlight every day and have to add chlorine to maintain these levels. The 'goal' according...

New Pool owner using Aquachek 7 and Pool Math only

By the way, if the puck chlorinator is bad due to always increasing CYA necessitating high FC ppm, and if a pool loses 2-4 ppm of FC everyday, without a chlorinator, how much bleach are you having to pour in your pool to keep it where you want it? It seems household bleach is quite a bit more...

Well, I don't know what a slow dissolve would be, but it takes several days for 1 3" puck to disappear from the chlorinator and I have it all the way up. I've been adding about 14 oz or dichlor powder about once a week for 2 or 3 weeks. I'd like to keep my CYA low so I can keep my FC ppm low...

liquid chlorine AKA household bleach? Also, back on the CYA measurements, mine has gone down since pool start up a couple of months ago, and this is with the addition of dichlor every few days and constant trichlor inline chlorination. I was initially getting CYA in the 30-50 range by color...

Okay, so high CYA is okay but you have to increase the FC for the chlorine to be effective. Low CYA is okay, and you can maintain a lower FC ppm but will be replacing depleted FC a lot? Any downside to the latter? And Stephenville is near Fort Worth, TX. Also, if the dichlor and trichlor...

I can't tell you except that it is lower than 30 but recently was in the 30-50 ppm range. The AquaChek 7 test strips give a color reading for CYA in ppm broken down at: 0 30-50 100 150 300. I use granular dichlor to increase the chlorine level because my inline chlorinator turned all the...

I'm sorry, I was giving my TC as CC. My TC and FC are both equal at 3 ppm so I understand it that I have no CC. Sorry for the confusion. My stats should read: FC 3 ppm TC 3 ppm pH 7.2 TA 80 ppm CH 500 ppm CYA 0-30 ppm

ish because if I had said pH 7.2, FC 3 ppm, etc, than someone would have said the test strip isn't that accurate. My CYA is in the 0-30 color on the test strip, sometimes in the 30-50 range. Are you not familiar with the Aquachek 7 test strip? Seriously? Nasties in my water? I have no...

With Pool Math and Aquachek 7 test strips, I have everything as it should be, give or take the accuracy of the Aquachek 7 test strips. Water is crystal clear, and this just doesn't seem very hard. Yet, I see Amazon reviews on the test strips saying that you still need a 'real' test kit. Why...

Please help: Decking and plastering phase guidance

I appreciate your opinion, but the bit about all concrete cracking is generally speaking to fractures occurring down the road, long term in nature, not ones showing the day of the pour. The cracks I'm talking about were all visible the day of the pour. I think they are created by the crew...

    Spa Air Button location?

No, we chose not to the do controller package and will do everything manually. Like I said, the 'stalk' is supposed to be reduced down to be flush with the concrete deck (somehow) but it just seems this is an odd location for the air button and it should have been put in the spa wall and come...
