    DE

    Is it possible that when you add DE to the sand filter that it can come out and settle to the bottom of your pool? I've vacuumed up white stuff that appears to be DE everyday since I put some in. Seems like it is just going right through the filter.

    Backwashing

    I will have my pool a year next month. The sand filter always reads 12 psi. I see that the recommendations to backwash is when it rises 20-25%, but mine never rises. Even during a slam.     FC levels?

    Being a fairly new pool owner, I am confused about the right FC level to use. PB says .5-1, other pool stores say 2-4,1-3 and TFP says 3-5 or 4-6. Which is it and does the difference matter that much?
