Is it OK to keep my hayward pump on low or should I put it on high during freezing temps? My pressure gage has been acting weird and I think I need to replace it. So, I'm nervous about keeping the pump on high.

Help! My pump is leaking water from the top cover when the pump is off. Is the O-ring the elastic band inside the cover? If so, I know that has come loose sometimes before and I have had to place it back on. I have the Hayward PowerFlo Matrix Pump and it's not even two years old yet.

Last week I found one box of chlorine at Home Depot. Today I can't find any at HDepot, Lowes, nor Walmart. I was able to purchase four gallons of bleach. Are there other methods to use besides bleach? I'm sure there will be a shortage of that as well.
