    SWG cell is out.

Thanks for the replies! Heater was an impulse buy when building. In 4 years, we never turned it on, so I sold it. On the pump, during peak season , are you saying run it at 100% those 12 hours, then reduce the speed low enough not to activate the flow switch? Or do you mean change the SWG to...

    SWG cell is out.

Thank you! That is the best explanation and makes total sense. I would love input on balancing costs by not running my pump 24/7 and using my SWG at higher rates, vs. the opposite. Having the coloring come in small doses over an extended period of time does seem more ideal, but having to run...

    SWG cell is out.

Now I am curious . . . . Why aren’t FC levels just that? Why doesn’t a level of 5.0PPM mean something universally as opposed to being tied to the chlorine source?

    SWG cell is out.

I’m sorry, I do not understand. if I am adding chlorine as opposed to having my SWG make it, then I need to be shooting for 7-9?

    SWG cell is out.

The cell in my Salt Chlorine Generator is broken and I’m waiting for a replacemen. It’s been about 10 days. Was adding bleach to keep chlorine up while waitint but started getting algae a few days ago. AddEd shock, but can’t get it under control. Everyday I have tested my water and my chlorine...

    Air Blower plumbing

In addition to my regular wall returns, I have 4 returns at my steps. 0me On each side of the steps and two returns on the front of my middle steps. I have an air blower that injects air to the step returns. However my installer only ran one air line that spilts to the four step returns near...

    Superflo VS 342001 died

Don’t have one in mind. I thought maybe a dual speed pump over the variable speed. I have plenty of space. My other pump was about 6 years old, but it got hit by lightning.

    Superflo VS 342001 died

My 1.5 HP pentair Superflo VS (#342001) died. Wondering if I should consider a less expensive option to replace. I want something that can drop in without too much plumbing modifications. Thanks for any opinions… -Mickey

    Dolphin S300i cord degradation

I have had a Maytronics Dolphin S300i for three sessions now. It is Great! This summer We have been noticing that the power cord has a sticky feeling on the outside. I can’t say that its degrading, but I am not sure what is causing the issue. We have a salt pool and use the dolphin several...

    Pool math app?

Question about the Pool Math App. Is it for logging only, or will it also make the calculations to tell you how much to add, like the pool math webpage? -Mickey

Thanks for the info on there CYA test, that will help my consistency. I will read the SLAM procedure while I wait for my FC to drop to 10, but that probably wont be long. The bleach I have been using is Pool Essentials in a 10% strength. -Mickey

OCLT results show a 2 ppm drop of FC. :( Makes me sad and confused. I have had a FC level of 15 or higher running through the pool for 3 days straight.

Got my test done for the OCLT. Will post results in the morning. - - - Updated - - - I haven't, but it did rain here a lot. Added about 2 -3 inches in the pool. I did backwash and drop the water level down for skimming purposes.

I guess it could be testing variance. The CYA test is about when the dot at the bottom of the tube disappears. I never know if I am doing it right. New to all testing, but I try hard to be as consistent as possible.

Here are my numbers from this morning around 9:30 Pump had been running at 3250 rpm. I reduced to 2000 rpm at the time of testing. I will keep SWG at 50% until this evening and I will run OCLT tonight and post FC in the morning.

I knew I would get that reaction about the strips. :drown: LOL Sorry! The FC and the CC are from the TF-100, as have been all numbers posted here so far. Time was short tonight. My brother-in-law had a plumbing leak and needed help. I did not do the OCLT last night or tonight. I will do it...

Ok, so I have had my pump on 23 hours a day at 3250 rpm and the SWG set at 50% and my chlorine level is ar 14.5 with Zero CC. It rained a little and was overcast, so I feel like that is an indication something else is going on. Yes? I didn't do all my other numbers with the tf100 kit, just...

Just to add a little information to this thought. My pool build was unconventional. My builder started last year and it wasn't too long before I had let him go and finish the build myself. My point being that, all the lines were plumbed last Fall to where the pad is located, but were open to...

Checked it just now and level is still at 15. Since 9:00 am today I increased pump speed to 3300 rpm and SWG percentage to 80%. No swimmers today, but it has been sunny and hot.

I thought that it would produce the desired percentage steadily while the flow switch was activated. Sort of like the pump running at a lower speed. But what you said makes perfect sense. I dkd check it at it at the end of the day. We had our family in the pool for about 6 hours of the day...

I'm completely new to pool ownership, and hope maybe a Circupool RJ owner may find this question... I have been running my pump at 2000 RPM at my SWG at 50%. When i set the pump I stayed at the equipment pad to be sure that the flow rate didn't go down so far to prevent my SWG from generating...

Ok, so here is what I did. I ran the FAS-DPD FC test again this morning at 6:00 am. I did 3 tests from 3 different areas of the pool. #1 (deep end west side) = FC 5.5, CC 0.5 #2 (deep end east side) = FC 6.0 CC 0 #3 (shallow end) = FC 5.5, CC 0.5 So not sure exactly what...

Me too! Any other numbers you see in my tests this evening that look suspect? The pool has looked really good from day one. It was clear, but with a little green tint at the fill up. Pool filled on a Thursday but pump not connected until Saturday. During those couple of days I brushed at least...
