Is the TF-100 R-0013 the same asTaylor R-0013?

I ran out of R-0013 in my TF-100, I went and bought a little bottle of Taylor R-0013 from Leslie's. Are they the same, so that I can run my CYA test per the TF-100 instructions?

Post your Pre/Post Harvey tests here

Pre-Harvey I remembered to buy bleach, but forgot acid and salt. Hope Homedepot opens soon. No pre-numbers, but post test numbers are: FC = .5 CC = 0 CH = 225 TA = 30 Salt = 1600 CYA =? ran out of test chemicals. :-( PH = seemed to be 8.2, but one drop of acid demand changed the color to 6.8...

New Pool Build Pearland, TX (Houston area)

So unfortunately our beautiful Tahoe Blue Quartzscape plaster has some bad discoloring, water stain issues, and it looks like the color had faded a bit. There were also some metal stain spots right away before water fill, but those are fading and I'll try vitamin C on them later, there is also...

    Another in Texas - Cypress

I have always wanted to walk up to that water wall! We always pass it going to the Galleria. Where is the best place to park to visit it? Ah you are waiting on a few things, but yes weather permitting it can all be done in two weeks. It is amazing how fast things go once scheduled. We are...

    New Pool Build Houston area

Before they added salt to ours I used bleach from Target. PB also added pucks every week. I was worried about them adding to the CYA, but mine was low and they helped increase it. The TF-100 is great. Also get the speed stirrer. :)

Full Testing Done - Recommendations Needed

Oops thank you. Corrected FC to 16 and added CH of 325. Yes, that does help. Thank you. I will see if I can figure out how to reduce SWG output and what I need to do to increase CYA. I still need to figure out a more accurate gallon estimate for our pool.

Full Testing Done - Recommendations Needed

So I finally pulled the whole TF-100 test kit out and completed all the tests. My results are: FC = 16 CC = 0 TA = 60 CYA = 50 CH = 325 Ph = 7.8 Salt = 4600 (some solidification at bottom of test tube, is this normal?) Salt was added to our pool on Th. I wasn't there, so I am not sure how many...

CH - test results very different than Leslie's

Thanks guys I appreciate the replies. I did not want to go to Leslie's, but since the pool is still under PB's care and wanted the test results I did get the water tested there for them. I will try to do all the tests in the TF-100 in the next say or two. PB wants to do pool school soon and...

CH - test results very different than Leslie's

So pool is still under PB's care and they had me take the water to Leslie's for testing. CH tested 120, so they had me add 1/2 bucket of calcium hardness to the skimmer. After the 2nd test it was 140. I decided to test myself with the TF-100 and got 375. So why is Leslie's test so much lower...

Thank you for the heads up on those products. I need to look into natural and plant products too since we have asthma in the family. Weather is looking good for this coming week, so if your PB gets back soon your build will clip along nicely again. :)

New Pool Build Pearland, TX (Houston area)

The waterfall and spa were the two required items for our pool. ;) We have mud dauber issues too and it didn't help to have so much mud during construction. We also tried a Monarch garden last year, but the wasps took most of the caterpillars, so we had to transfer and tent as soon as I found...

New plaster - No chlorine, High PH - Need help

Thank you for all the help and tips. It is very much appreciated. We asked PB to send someone out today and if that doesnt happen we will do it ourselves. New plaster - No chlorine, High PH - Need help

MA looked like some nasty stuff with fumes and smell when the pool person added it. Can pool wait until Friday? If we need to add now... How do I calculate how much MA and bleach to add? Do I need to wait between adding MA and bleach? When should test again after adding? Thank you.

New plaster - No chlorine, High PH - Need help

So new pool was plastered last Wed. Muratic acid was added Wed, Th, and Fri. Not sure what chlorine, but one skimmer had what looked like white chunks of something disolving. I tested the water a few times and Chlorine and PH were good. Now today the test shows no chlorine and high PH. PB is...

Thank you. We are so happy with how the Silver travertine came out. :) Thank you Suz. The water was hardly greenat all to start and is so clear. I was able to see the screws on the drains a couple of days ago. Yep, hoping PB fixes that fence soon. They had to enter in two spots and the planks...

No tile on steps, spa seat and tanning shelf?

Yes we had three options with the 1" glass tile we used in the spa: 2 row, 1 row or diamond shape. We did two row. :) I've seen other pools use mosaic tiles like little fish, turtles, etc. Clear water will definitely help. :)

No tile on steps, spa seat and tanning shelf?

I had always thought they were for extra bling and accents. Didn't know they were so you wouldn't stub your toe or fall off until I found TFP and and read that in some posts. I don't think they are dated and our PB puts them in all their pools. We love them!
