Has anyone tried Meltblown type cartridge like the Clorox Platinum

I was thinking maybe they last longer than the typical type need cleaning. If that is the case I would definitely consider. I ran my current filter set 24/7 for almost 2 years straight. They were pretty dirty but not causing much pressure increase maybe from 12 to 15 psi. I ended up just tossing...

Has anyone tried Meltblown type cartridge like the Clorox Platinum

No not really a better deal but they claim to filter better and last longer but not sure if that is true

Has anyone tried Meltblown type cartridge like the Clorox Platinum

Was thinking of switching over to these style cartridge as it looks like it will filter smaller particles 3 vs 10 to 15 micron and also no cleaning just replace. My only concern is if these filter smaller particles it could possibly clog up quicker. https://www.cloroxpoolfilters.com/general-6

    White staining on fiberglass

Looks good! I wonder can that be done after the fact, I guess there would be a lip since the tiles would be on top not inset, but probably could work

    White staining on fiberglass

Yeah it's only really seen when the water line drops so not a huge deal, but would love to figure out a fix, maybe add tiles to the waterline, ever seen that on fiberglass?

    White staining on fiberglass

Sanding does seem to help I used 2000 grit but not sure how to get shiney again the part that gets dulled above the waterline

    White staining on fiberglass

This is kinda similar but only above the waterline, and if it is wet it disappears until dry again

    White staining on fiberglass

Three year old pool developing white stain which seems to be possibly on the entire pool but only seen when the waterline drops. I have tried magic eraser, compound, and muriatic acid. None of them seem to do anything at all. It's hard to tell if this is like a calcium deposit or possibly etched...

Dirt / stains in bottom of pool?

    Try magic eraser

Thinking about a Circupool RJ-60 and looking at my plumbing setup to see it. What is this gizmo after my heater. Connected only to bonding wire.

It's definitely a water bond, I have the exact same one. In the electrical code in most places there is rule that you need 9 square inches of conductive material connected to the water.

    Scaling From Excess Salt

I've had spots like this from time to time in my fiberglass pool (although smaller) seems to be from some type of metal laying in one spot. I've also had a bunch of acorn and leave staining and so far a magic eraser has completely removed all of them.

    Matronics low voltage extension cord

I've seen a bunch of threads about running the power supply off an extension plug. I really wanted to move my robot to lead into the deep end instead of the shallow end since the kids are always on the shallow end. At first I was going to run a new outlet and build some type of box to house the...

    Best way to go automated?

The nice thing about a forum is other people tend to follow along or stumble upon at a later date, it seems worth noting this system does work for both types of heaters. I also find it odd just above you are quoting a different post asking about tracking gas heater run times in response to the...

    Best way to go automated?

K Yes, this is definitely not something that is DIY if your not familiar with volts and amps. But an electrician could hook something like this up very easily. For what it's worth the pump I have is actually 40amp and for a gas heater the electrical draw in very minimal, but you always want the...

    Best way to go automated?

Agree,I used this for my pump and a 60amp version for my heat pump, but you get the idea.

    Best way to go automated?

Also on the cheap side you can add a 240v relay which is controlled by any normal smart switch and allow control of the heater or pump. This works for gas or electric heaters and the relays only cost about $10 plus the cost of your preferred switch ( I use caseta). It's not fancy but it works...

    Best way to go automated?

If this is heated by a heat pump you can add a electrical meter in line to the heater it basically calculates used wattage which you can in turn calculate cost . 1kwh times your local rate HiLetgo Digital Multimeter AC 80-260V 100A PZEM-061 LCD Display Digital Current Voltage Power Energy...

    DIY Maytronics Power Supply

In case anyone else is attempting this, it does work with just the bot for up to 3 runs per day. By the next 8 hours the power supply has turned itself back off so the bot turns it back on. If you want more than 3 runs you would need to add a hub and some type of Google or Alexa automation.

    DIY Maytronics Power Supply

I just got a switch bot hooked up and trying to get it to run at 5am 1pm and 9pm, it seems by the time the next run it's back to off. So only hitting the button once, does this make sense?

    DIY Maytronics Power Supply

Got it so the first push is off and the second turns back on. And this is pushing the button on the power supply?

    DIY Maytronics Power Supply

That's a good idea, so essentially you are having this turn it on and then off then back on again? It seems like to get it to run you need to power off then back on
