    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

No real differences, and to be honest after a while using 3.0 now, it is not that big of a deal. It should really be called V2.1 actually. Maybe it is 20% quicker on initial connection, but if the app goes to sleep it takes longer to connect via the web interface...which is the only way to...

    ORP controller with dosing pump.

I am pumping acid, but I never get any bubbles in the line. The good thing about this pump is that its design, makes it a defacto type of check valve with the roller squeezing the tube closed... so there might be a leak before the pump. let us know how it goes...

    ORP controller with dosing pump.

I have to comment that my experience is completely opposite. I've had my BL101 dosing acid since late 2020 with very few issues. The peristaltic pump uses tubes and rollers that are wear items as indicated by Hanna. I replace mine yearly and add a drop of silicone to the tube. Mine has never...

Owner/Builder pool in Phoenix (Phase: Start-up!)

Heh. O/B!! a fools errand....until you save 45%! Thanks for taking longer than me! I'm going to point at your build as "see honey....it could have taken longer!" On the finishes, its been a few years, but I used a "mini" pebble by Stonescapes IIRC. It is really nice and smooth. I was in my...

Where can I get replacement for Spectrum 360 Blue lights?

I just bought 4 new Bluesquare Nicheless replacements for my pool. I ordered them thru www.Epoolsupply.com, that is who Bluesquare recommended I use to buy my infloor parts as well. They were special order and used the contact form on the website.

    Jandy Nicheless LED replacement Info

I've seen several threads about the old style Jandy Nichless watercolors LED lights failing early and they are now discontinued with a replacement that (hopefully) does not leak. I just installed 4 new BlueSquare Spectrum 360 LED to replace the Jandy's. They are a direct replacement and screw...

    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

Are you already on iAqualink 2.0? if not, then I think you should just pay them to upgrade/install your automation unless you are really handy and can program the points. If you are on iAqualink 2.0 then you just change the antenna module shown above and all your programming carries over. You...

    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

Yep, easy peasy and plugs right in. I have more thoughts though now that ive used it a while..... The cr@ppy Jandy app is really the problem. If I stay logged on the the web interface via the app and my phone times out because I set it down or forget I have the app open and I want to jump back...

    ORP controller with dosing pump.

Cool. I just did annual maintenance on it with a new feed tube, injector foot and replaced both the 1/4" lines (in and out). I has been working perfect. My Ph has been locked in at 7.45 since installation!

    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

Update: I ordered the iAqualink 3.0 Network Interface Module via the link above and installed it this weekend (replacing the 2.0 NIM). It is certainly much faster and stable. The old 2.0 system frequently took 15 or up to 20 seconds to connect the 3.0 does not take 5 or 6 seconds and re...

    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

Thanks. I saw that page, but it only deals with older Jandy systems - like the PDA and 2000/3000 Still not sure what is needed to go from 2.0 to 3.0... .

    iAqualink 2.0 conversion to 3.0

Does anybody know if I wanted to upgrade from iAqualink 2.0 to 3.0 is it simply a matter of replacing the antenna with the new IA30-A network interface module? or do I need to replace the control board as well. Pool was built/installed in 2016 and came with 2.0, but it would be nice to have...

Update (many years later). Everything is still working great. No regrets or problems. I replaced my Acid pump with a new unit from Hanna instruments here if anyone is interested: https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/new-acid-pump-ph-controller.220290/ ...

    New Acid Pump/Ph Controller

My pool has in-floor cleaning, SWG and a Solaxx acid dosing system, so it is as close to "maintenance free" as one can get. Untill...my Solaxx acid pump and controller started to go haywire. The peristaltic tube wore out, rollers got weak and the duckbill valve started to leak. Well...Solaxx...

    Jandy Wireless Remote

Had I known what I know now when I was building my pool - I would have run a hard line out to the pool equipment. The Jandy app is slow and laggy. I'd much quicker if you dont use the "web" interface - but stay on their 1985-looking screen. Ive added a mesh router and put one of the nodes on my...

Best pebble finish for turquoise/teal blue water?

For what it is worth, we did zanzibar white stonescapes minipebble, but used 12" of aqua blue/turqoise glass tiles around the perimeter and it looks pretty Turquoise....just what we wanted. Another idea

    New Pool Build Los Angeles

Eh. At least you did not have to chip out all your pebble and re-do it! This means: "it could be worse" ! ;) Get it the way you want, otherwise it will bug you.

Building a new pool in Los Angeles- Need advice. thanks in advance

What area code or city do you live in? My pool is basically what you describe, just a little smaller. Link in my signature. I too like having our spa as part of the pool and as a water feature. It heats up very quickly with a 400k BTU heater, we use it all the time. I think a separate spa would...

Pictures of straight edge travertine coping

There is a bunch more of my bullnose in my build thread in my sig. Bullnose or straight edge - it think the thickness more important. We did 2" coping but the pavers are only 1 1/4" thick. its what really shows. Its a 1/4" radius bullnose on the pool side so it s just enough to knock the sharp...

Any glass tile survivors out there?

I originally said Mapei, I just went and checked and we used all Laticrete products..I remember considering Mapei, but they never returned my call with technical questions so I took that as a omen. Mortarbed, thinset, waterproofing and the stain proof grout were all Laticrete. I spoke to the...
