Hi, We are looking to do a travertine deck but it's LA so the ground moves plus we are on top of clay. PB thought we should do concrete slab then tile travertine over it. I had leaned toward the thicker pavers on sand. Any thoughts? Also, is tile more slippery than pavers? Thanks!

Hi, I have a an odd problem. My water is clear and I keep my chlorine level around 5-6. Combined chlorine is almost zero. I have a spillover so I constantly have to add acid to maintain lower PH. TA is 50. CYA is approx 30. The problem is I'm still getting a rash when I go in the spa almost...

It will be covered 12 mil cover (though I can't cover the overflow basin) I'm in LA so I don't leave the heat on. It should be in the 70's. Should I put the floater in the basin or the spa? Will the trichlor mess up my cya? Thanks!

I have an in-ground spa with a waterfall overflow. We are going on vacation for a couple of weeks. What is the best way to maintain it while I'm gone? Can I shock and leave it or is that too long? Also, due to the waterfall PH has a tendency to rise quickly. Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!

I actually only have a spa. I was concerned there might be algae in the pipes.

You could also have something stuck that's not allowing the valve to close. I get that alot. Have 2 check valves installed so I can check it. I also put pantyhose over the drain to stop the big piece from getting in there.

FC was at 16 for slamming at 40 CYA. in the morning it was 11.5.

I've been slamming for the last 4 days (also cleaned the filter which was filthy). Water is clear. Combined chlorine is .5 or or below. But over night loss is still at 4.5. What am I doing wrong? CYA is 40 PH 7.4 TA 70 Thanks!

I understood that after raising the FC to a high enough point you are going to lose FC because the CYA can't protect that much of it. I was just curious what that level was. Or am I just wrong?

I am SLAMing my spa with a CYA of 40. So I take it up to 16. should I really only expect to lose 1.0 or less overnight? At what level can the CYA not protect that level of FC?

I'll clean the filter tom. Do I need to soak the cartridges in anything or just wash them out the hose? Really appreciate the help! D

I refilled a month ago. I've never used those products, the spa is only a year old. Is it okay to use ahhsome or yuk with an inground spa? Also is there one you recommend? thanks!
