Pump wouldn't turn on. Timer relay was toast. Wonder how this happens? Age? **Pics**

2007 intermatic PF1102t freeze protection control timer. Had to replace the timer control "puck" back in 2020. Went to startup this season and the pump wouldnt turn on. Lots of poking around with the multimeter and many on/off attempts and switching the panel breakers off and on, somehow I...

How much is an acceptable amount of grit to be getting on each cleaning? Pics of grit collection after two passes with new S200 clone (Explorer E30)

So a few caveats: Over the winter I had the pool re-plastered with QuartzScapes. Our sand filter was also 13+ years old and was putting out sand in the return lines so I had the contractor also remove/replace the sand and check to see why it was leaking sand. They said the laterals were good...

"Sand" stain not coming up even with stainless steel brush and Yellow Mustard shock levels.

Calcified dirt or algae? I haven't run a puck or citric acid on it yet. I'm a wuss and the water has been 69 degrees lately or I'd dive in and get to rubbing. From what I've read even stubborn algae should brush off right? Water is crystal clear since the chlorine has been thru the roof...

Robot owners with existing manual suction/pressure setups: Are you even manually or spot cleaning anymore?

I've got a Maytronics S200 clone (Explorer E30) on order to replace my aging suction Poolvergnuegen cleaner. Can't wait! I guess I'll see how it performs this season but I'm hoping I can just get rid of all the dang hoses, leaf canister, and Milliard manual 19" vacuum head I attach to the end...

My piering, retile (NPT Trident Tortoise), recope (flagstone), and replaster (QuartzScapes Super Blue Reflections) journey. Lots of pics.

-edit (Original Thread title was: Any Oklahomans on here? Need a suggestion for a reputable replaster, retile, and recoping contractor in the Tulsa area. (Pier pics inside!)) Hey TFP! Long story short my gunite pool has shifted a bit and it lead to cracks and leaks. Level Home Foundation...

    Hold me bros!

:cry::cry: Took the cover off to see this: Crack 1 Crack 2 Low point return which makes me think there's a crack in the pipe To add insult to this, I paid $12k to have the cracks/leak fixed and a re-plaster job at the end of '18, beginning of '19. I will never deal with that pool...

How screwed am I? Stopped filling pool mid way after a replaster job: Ring on walls

So, my PC is awful. They have been horrible for communication even though I stressed that communication is a key factor for me. They wanted to charge $1k+ to startup the pool. Told them nah, I'm good and I know how to check/balance chemicals, just give me the 411 and I should be good to go...

Found a really cheap way to add Salt: 50lb Salt Block from Tractor Supply for $4.49

95-99% pure NaCI Champions Choice White Salt Block, 50 lb. at Tractor Supply Co. Works out to $0.0898 a lb which is cheaper than the 60lb bags of Solar Salt I was picking up at HomeDepot for $7.70 ($0.1283 a lb). I needed some weight for my lawn aerator, as well as some salt for my pool, two...

Calcium Chloride (9.5lb Prestone Driveway Heat) is on clearance @ Wally World for $2

Works out to 21.05 cents per lb which is cheaper than the $20 50lb bags (40 cents per lb) you can get online. Stock up! I snagged 5 for myself and a buddy. To bad I didn't get any weird comments or looks since I did the self checkout ;) It contains ~91% pure CC according to this thread...

Anyone ever TFP their friend's pool "just because"

I've agreed to tend to a friend's 30k pool for a couple weeks while they are on vacation. They don't have a timer so they just run their pump 24/7 (sadpanda). They are also using pucks. So really all I'll need to do is net skim, backwash, and check pucks for the most part and call it a day...

Tanning ledge bubbler, looking to upgrade my pressure

We have 3 bubblers in our tanning ledge. I had always wondered why I had two return lines from my equipment pad. Then like a light bulb it hit me!!! One line goes to just the bubblers, the other line goes to the other wall returns. So with great enthusiasm like a kid in a candy shop I hopped...

Anyone have one they've used and like? Lowes, Homedepot, or Amazon preferred if possible. TIA!

Timer needed: 2 speed 230v with freeze protection

Can someone hit me up with some part numbers to google? My Google Fu is a bit lacking. My current Intermatic PF1102T is great right now for my single speed motor, but I'd like to upgrade to a 2 speed motor.

1.65sfhp single speed is dead. Looking to upgrade. Can someone look over my stats?

Went to open the pool and my Intermatic with digital timer would just click but the motor wouldn't turn over. Here's what I've done so far to troubleshoot: Impeller turns over just fine, smooth as butter. Checked capacitor with a digital multi meter with capacitance check and it checked out...

Should I SLAM even though it's Fall and I'm not using the pool? FC @ 0

-Edit: Update on post #13, it was my SWG circuit board. Easy fix though. New owner here. Pool details in sig. Glad there's a forum dedicated to the DIYer!!! Temps are ~50f give or take 10 lately. I've got my CYA, Borate, PH, and CH all in line according to the calculator. Salt is ~3500...
