looking for feedback on pressure side surface skimmers

A couple of times a year my pool is littered with debris from the surrounding trees, and much of the debris falls in the shallow end away from the skimmer.

My main skimmer does a good job, yet when the wind blows the debris away from the skimmer it just sinks in the shallow end.

Does anyone have feedback on pressure side skimmers? I'm just starting my research.

tnx

Not sure what you mean by a “pressure side skimmer”.
I have a Betta Bot solar/battery skimmer that is working just fine. I have only had it just over a week.
See this thread for more info

A pressure side skimmer uses water from a return inlet, or a dedicated pressure side inlet to power a floating skimmer. The flow of water creates creates suction and debris is captured in a bag.

Pool Skim is an example. It connects to a return jet.

Pool Python looked interesting but I saw a post on their facebook page that they are no longer in business

There are also the robotic skimmers but I'm not sure I want to go there.

Here are some positive reviews on Pool Skim. Use the search at the top of the page to find more reviews.

Side note*
Have you done the rubber ducky test and attempted different trajectories with your jet positioning to try to get more debris to your skimmer?
Basically- throw a bunch of duckies (or ping pong balls or whatever you have thats small & floats) in the pool & watch to see how long they all take to make it to the skimmer, if they get stuck somewhere etc.
reposition your jets a little & do it again, repeat until optimal circulation of debris is achieved.
If it yields no different results than you have now at least its fun lol 😂
