I had previously been using a Hayward PoolVac suction cleaner and recently switched to the Aiper Seagull pro. It appears the pool was resurfaced with a fiberglass coating at some point.
I have only run the new pool cleaner three times so far, but I am getting some fiberglass fibers in the basket of the cleaner. It appears to be less with each cycle, but is this normal shedding of the shell or something to be concerned about?

Can you tell us anything else about the pool (if you know it) such as its age, when it may have been resurfaced, etc. Might be good if you could share some pics of the pool shell and perhaps of the product your cleaner is collecting. At this point it would be advisable to post a full set of water test results as well to ensure chemistry isn't a factor in what's happening.
