My parents friends put their pool up in 85' or 86'. Its still up with the original liner. Its one of those tan and wood grain Namco pools.

M over-wall skimmer accomidates about 12" of variation! BEAT THAT, LOL!

Why arn't in-wall skimmers made elongated to accomidate more of a fluxuation in water level and have some kind of adjustment or maybe a floating basket?

I want to build a pool that lasts. I'm thinking a Doughboy, with stainless steel fasteners. Fasteners that are in contact with other metal pieces, put grease on the threads and the bottom track (if its metal), plates and bottom of the wall and uprights, I'll spray automotive undercoating on...

When sprayed on metal, does it protect against rust? How much would I need for about 350 square feet and what is the approximate cost?

So silicon is ok for it? What about silicon spray?
