    Opened the pool for the season at last. The effects of raising the chlorine levels high before covering last year is as follows. CYA - 20 FC - 4 pH - 6.8 Water is crystal clear. So right now raising the pH. Should be a trouble free season. - - - Updated - - - BTW for anyone interested...

    So far the sand I bought at Home Depot has been perfect with no problems. When I purchased the new Sand filter it came with 2 new hoses. I simply took 1 of my old intex hoses and hooked it up to the waste output for backwashing.
