    Upgrading pump and summer away

I purchased my EasyTouch in 2021. And thanks for the info on the water guru, that looks like just what I need. Concerning the pool pump, and looking at Polytech's website there are it looks like 6 different Pentair pumps and within each of these 6 there are several with varying features. Can...

    Upgrading pump and summer away

Thanks ajw, I'm aware the SWG does not always report accurately the salt content of the pool water. However if I can get a ball park figure it will help to know if I need to add salt. Same with the stabilizer. I have no way of measuring but I know from experience stabilizer will need to be added...

    Upgrading pump and summer away

Hey guys, we spend 4 months during the summer at our summer home in Michigan. I maintain our pool here in central Florida and have a pool maintenance service maintain the pool while we are away for the summer. Their prices have gone way up and they want $1000 to maintain the pool this summer. So...

    Cloudy water using tablets.

Oops, my bad. FC = 15. I'll use liquid chlorine until I install the SWG, thanks for that. My guess in recommending liquid is that the tablets have CYA and 70 is too high, correct?

    Cloudy water using tablets.

Thanks guys, after 6 days my pool water is crystal clean. CH is 15, waiting for it to drop to 7 before adding tablets. Pentair is sending me a IC-40 but they are back ordered and won't give me a date. I bought an IC 40 from polytech and will install when it arrives this week.

    Cloudy water using tablets.

OK, thanks guys, starting SLAM today. I use the TFT TF-100 Test kit. My SWG had a Flashing Green light, not steady as I reported above. It has failed and Pentair has agreed to replace it. They will not say when that will be so I will probably buy a new one and keep the one they send as a spare...

    Cloudy water using tablets.

Hey guys, my Pentair SWG failed (Solid green Cell light) about a month ago. It was not quite 2 years old. I contacted Pentair and they have agreed to replace it but they are saying it will be some time because of parts. So I'm chlorinating using tablets. I guess I wasn't quick enough because I...

How to set my easy touch to maintain a set temp

I have an Pentair easytouch control system with a gas heater connected and a single speed pump. I want to maintain my pool temp at 85 deg and I have set the heat function to do that. However at the scheduled pump off time, the pump turns off and of course so does the heater. Is it possible to...

    Pool covers to retain heat

Can anyone advise how effective the 5 ft rings are at retaining heat. You can get these on Amazon with an inflatable ring and the inside portion I believe is bubble wrap material. I would need about 15 to effectively cover the pool but storage would be easy and it would be easy to install.

What VS pump would be best?

Thanks for that Jim. My setup is pretty simple. Spa and Pool with currently a single speed pump. The water flows from the pump into the Spa and from there overflows through the spillway into the pool. Some water from the pump also goes to the pool jets. In spa mode all the water goes into the...

What VS pump would be best?

Moved from here. I have an Easytouch 4 with spa control for pool automation and a single speed pump. The pump works fine but I'm considering upgrading to a variable speed or 2 speed pump. First, is the Easytouch unit able to seamlessly integrate with a 2 speed or variable speed pump, Second...
