It didn’t kick on but you could hear the relay click or whatever it is. I called the pool company, they came out, confirmed there’s power to the pump after removing the top cover over the wiring. Tried kicking it on a few times and it let the smoke out of the wires.

Thanks for the ideas. If they will warranty this I’ll use the same model junk pump and hope I get 2 years out of it. Then maybe I’ll look into the robotic cleaners as my cleaner will be 6 years old and require some new parts/rebuilding. If anything, with it being down for the last week+ I’ve...

They are proposing installing a Zodiac PB4SQ pump. Is that the same as the Polaris PB4?

I don’t know what they used but there was a bottle of antifreeze upside down in each skimmer. I vacuumed what I could out of the skimmers before filling the pool but I’m not sure how much if any was down in the lines.

I got my FC up to 16 using the Pool Math calculator at 8:10 PM last night. I verified the FC level was at 16 at 10:48 PM before going to bed. It was at 13.5 this morning at 5:48 AM. An OCLT of 2.5. What could I possibly be missing?

I used a turkey baster to suck the gunk out of the unused holes in the skimmers and injected some chlorine into them directly. I may put the plugs in them this evening after my nighttime chlorine dose to rule them out entirely overnight.

I don’t have a drain king or anything but will try the bleach in the skimmer holes just to be certain the stuff in there is getting a healthy dose.
