    Chlorinator

I will pickup a floater and start using that instead of putting them in the skimmer. I usually close the cover when I am not using the pool so hopefully I can keep the floater from being pushed to the edge.

    Chlorinator

I am debating about purchasing an automatic chlorinator. Eventually I want to go with a SWG but I have large bucket of pucks and don't have the funds yet. What is the better between in-line and off-line? I am looking at a Pentair Rainbow 300 and Rainbow 320. Thanks

    Liner Lock

    Good idea. Thank you.

    Liner Lock

I opened my pool cover and the corners of the pool have the liner lock popped out. Usually in the spring it is popped out a little and I just go around and push it back in but a few of the corners really popped out about 2-3 feet worth. Is there a non-permanent adhesive I can use to get the...

What's the grossest thing you've found in your pool?

I usually find a couple mice a year in my pool. Not sure how they get in when the cover is closed unless they are living in the area where the cover roles up and squeeze in from underneath.

    Lounge repair

Is there any way to repair an old floating lounger similar to the one in the link? I have a couple where a seam has split and tracks all over the back. Wasn't sure if there was some filler for the cracks? http://www.intheswim.com/p/baja-ii-lounge

    Solar Cover

I have an auto cover that is usually closed but would a solar cover help heat the water better? Not sure what the best method would be to heat the water- Open during the day with the auto cover closed at night? Thank you

    What's your current pool temp?

74 degrees up from 72 the other day. Closing in a few weeks and probably will not get in unless we have one heck of a heat wave to raise that temperature.

To cover or not that is the question

My vote would be for the safety cover too.

Might as well close the pool!

I am glad I am not the only one disappointed with this pool season. My unheated pool has barely hit 80 all summer. Like another poster I can count how many times I have been in the pool on one hand. Wish I could close the pool now too since I doubt I will use it in the next month. Hope next...

    Possible broken plumbing

I never thought about plugging the outlet hole but I will do that tonight and see what happens. When I turn the pump off and turn the skimmer and main valves off I hear water running out of the lines at the pad.

    Possible broken plumbing

Loosing 1-2 inches of water a day whether the pump is on or not. I am assuming it is a break in the plumbing. Could the pool not have been closed properly last fall? I noticed something wrong when vacuuming and hardly any suction then last week I got in the pool and noticed the water level...

    Low suction when vacuming

Still have this issue even after trying a different hose. Can't figure it out. Without the hose connected I can close the main valve so the skimmer is pulling everything in and there are no bubbles. When I put the hose on the water level in the basket drops and the pump is really working. I...

    Low suction when vacuming

Within the last month the suction when vacuuming has dropped significantly. I always prime the hose before I start vacuuming but there are a few spots that hover toward the surface. Could that point to a air leak in the hose? I assume the hose should submerged since it is full of water and...

    Pump will not start

Picked this up today and the pump started right up. So glad I was able to get this in town as I almost ordered online with a delivery of next week. http://www.grainger.com/product/DAYTON-Run-Capacitor-2MEC7 Had the exact same issue last year while in warranty and the manufacture just sent me...
