Took about 14 months. I was able to get some parts replaced with warranty. That ship has sailed, now it is on me.

Mine did the same thing. The plastic gears wear out after a while. I purchased both right and left front brush assembly on Amazon. Fixed the problem! I wish I had a 3d printer. I have replaced so many parts that have plastic gears that wear out on this cleaner.

A umbrella sleeve is not a bad idea. That would look good for resale no questions asked. Might even be a DIY project. Lower water, drill out pipe, drill deep enough for sleeve, epoxy the sleeve in!

I cut the bottom out of a garbage can. I then slid can over the chlorine tank. I then stuffed various types of bubble wrap between tank and garbage can. Believe it or not it keeps tank cool. I also put bubble wrap on the top of the tank and the garbage can lid on top of the garbage can.

Gear box split open again making the cleaner not work at all. I was able glue it back with PVC glue. Cleaning like brand new again.

Not sure how thick the concrete is , probably 4 inches. You could rent a concrete saw and cut it out perfectly square ( 1 or 2 pieces ) . Once finished put stabilized sand in hole, won't take much and then put concrete back.

If you do a gas insert make sure it has a built in blower unit. My fireplace inside has one and it keeps the den nice and toasty. The outdoor insert does not have one and we have to close the damper to force heat out. Wish I could install a blower but this unit will not accommodate one.
