Pentair MagicStream Deck Jet II Repair

Maybe a better idea, cut a square around each one to fit a tile and cut a hole in the tile for the cup? At least then have more area to work in and easier accessibility in the future. Would need a large tile hole saw, tho.

Pentair MagicStream Deck Jet II Repair

Every year when we had large parties. Kids love them. Started leaking last year, and shut them off until I could get to them. I had a leak in my pool and had a leak service come out to attend to those, and he looked at the jets for me with a camera and that's when we discovered the pipe had...

Pentair MagicStream Deck Jet II Repair

I have six of these installed 8 years ago. I don't know if just a sloppy install, but two of the six, the PVC pipe connection under the cup has fallen off. Bad Glue, Settling, who knows. They used the white flexible PVC, I do remember that. I have a concrete deck so they cemented around the...

Pump losing prime ONLY in filter mode.

Not sure why, but installing a new multi port valve seems to have resolved my issue. 2 weeks of 24/7 running now and no loss of prime. Thanks for everyone's help.

    Losing prime in filter mode.

I was just about to update my thread. Yes I believe I resolved it. It was the multi port valve. Mine was 8 years old, and the gasket completely flattened. I'm not sure why that was causing me to lose prime, but after swapping it, have not lost prime in 24/7 running in 2 weeks.

Pump losing prime ONLY in filter mode.

All fittings appear tight with no leaks....ive used soapy water techniques and no air suction leaks on inlet side that I can find. In that pump has no issue when filter is bypassed would think that there isn't an issue with any leak, especially small and not obvious, on the suction side.

Pump losing prime ONLY in filter mode.

Just realized, I've never tried it in Rinse. Rinse is the same as Filter, correct, it just goes out the waste pipe instead of the returns? But the water flow is the same? So, if the pump doesn't fill up quickly in rinse like backwash or waste, then that would point more and more to the...

Pump losing prime ONLY in filter mode.

Maybe a combination of the two? Partial clog after the two valves on the suction side, which gets exasperated by the restriction of the filter only in that mode....not enough of a blockage to affect waste/recirc. Trying to remember if there is a union before the pump that I can take it apart...
