Thanks, I have done SLAMM for years with cover on and no ill effects- also thinking it would protect the chlorine and keep junk out. My first coverstar lasted 18 years. Would open it a few times per day anyway now will do it a but more.

You are supposed to keep cover off during SLAMM? I have not been doing this.

Did someone say pictures? Here is my aerator set up my relic air compressor In action- you can make out tiny bubble and see my broken pool cover I can't see if the cover inflates since it's broken. Will probably not need to aerate by the time it's fixed.

Yes, I was wondering about this but the cover is not air tight. I will post pictures next 24h or so- have a late night, early morning coming.

The idea of inflating the cover makes me want to try it! I've still got about 10 points to go so will keep pushing. Also trying to clean the pool, have not wanted to run the robot at pH 7 and with hoses on the bottome.
