Honestly, I do not like 2 speed pumps and I'm pro vs pumps. Intelliflo is always my go to pump. If you do go that direction make sure you get a flow meter ( fits in return has a white plate and spring) so you can adjust your rpms for your suction cleaner correctly so you don't damage your pump.

If you go to fire your heater up and then when gas valve opens up and then you hear fast repetition of clickng then you will need a regulator on your gas line. That gas pressure might break your gas valve.

Do you have an ozanator installed on your system?

If you have any unused auxs, then just assign a high speed on one of them and name it. That way when ever you turn that aux on you'll get the pressure you want.

Sounds like a short in the drive. I would contact pentair and see if there is any warrenty first. If not then the motor and drive are 1 part. So replace that the orings and pump seal.

Pentair clean clear plus 420 is good for 20 and under. With your 1.5 hp pump and 12 pool, I think that would be ideal.

Might have a crack in the volute, honestly with it being 17 years old and since that pump is discontinued, I would suggest replacing it with a new pump.

Hey I would go for the pentair ultra temp heat pump. It will cool your pool down pretty well. Do not get a Glacier. Pools in tx get uncomfterablely warm in the summer and glaciers cant cut it.UltraTemp High Performance Heat Pump - Pool and Spa Heaters - Pentair

Hey, with your clean clear and plus cart filter, when depressurizing and removing your cartridges some times debree will go into your manifold and get stuck into your intellichlor (salt cell) So I would suggest to check your salt cell for blockage.
