Repair advice for concrete coping chip?

maybe the pic from the other side of the water feature will be easier to see the foam filled expansion joint.

Repair advice for concrete coping chip?

Allen, the tile is not cracked, that is the design. There is 1/2" gap filled with tinted foam on all 3 sides of the water feature. I believe the chip happened because it is a very small section of concrete with a sharp turn to hide the expansion joints. The chip is the only thing I need to...

    Pentair alexa skill is back!

Is there a way to change the command from "ask pentair pool.." so something else? The Pentair SSO profile asked me to name my pool, implying this is how the Alexa skill is invoked. But it only responds to "pentair pool", unless I am missing something.

invisible is that important, yes. clear silicone caulk might be a safer choice than epoxy.

Repair advice for concrete coping chip?

thanks for the bump. I am thinking since the chips are still in place and in one piece, I should pull the chips off and use a clear epoxy on the center of the chip and not let it ooze to the perimeter.

Repair advice for concrete coping chip?

The coping of my cantilever patterned concrete patio is chipping at the base of my raised beam wall water feature. Can anybody suggest a product to repair and/or seal the chip before it breaks off? Ideally, the least visible repair the better (obviously). Thank you, -Tom

Opinions request for return eyeball direction in free-form pool

Hey ladies and gents. This is my 2nd summer with my new pool, first one was setup and winterized by the pool builder. I would like to hear your opinions about how I should angle my return jet eyeballs in this pool. I don't have the exact number or returns, would have to go count them...

Life with a Hayward SuperPump VS (and troubleshooting the Er64)

Turns out, the plastic fan is simply a very tight fit onto the axle shaft. I used a dremel with an end mill bit to remove enough of the plastic around the axle to slip off the fan.

Life with a Hayward SuperPump VS (and troubleshooting the Er64)

I can't answer with anything official. But in my case, they just wanted the serial number and said it was warrantied. There was some confusion on their end about who would do the service and how it would happen. Eventually they sent out a maintenance guy from Anthony and Sylvan pools way out...

Life with a Hayward SuperPump VS (and troubleshooting the Er64)

One reason I decided to replace my VS with an identical new one was the Amazon price dropped massively from around $800 to under $400 at the time. And now I have the time to mess around with the broken one. Also, the electric company is giving $200 rebates for them. So, hard to pass up that...

Life with a Hayward SuperPump VS (and troubleshooting the Er64)

Since my pump was permanently shorted and non-functional, I replace it and am in the process of disassembling the failed unit to see if I can repair it. One fact became clear so far. The flood water entered through a small hole on the bottom of the casing just aft of the front bearing. I...
