Tiny electric shock in open cuts

So this morning i could just barely feel it, and this evening i can't feel it at all. My theory is that since it hasn't rained since Sunday the ground is becoming less conductive. Does this make sense? Still trying to find an electrician that knows pools.

Tiny electric shock in open cuts

I don't think so. I only feel it if I stick just my fingers in near the surface. If I stick my arm deeper or jump in with my whole self in the pool I don't feel it.

Tiny electric shock in open cuts

Thanks, the fact that i could feel it even with all the breakers off is a little scary. No idea where it could be coming from.

Tiny electric shock in open cuts

Probably wouldn't have found this out if I weren't a nail biter (first beneficial thing ever to come from this nasty habit). If I stick the tip of a damaged finger in the pool there's a definite shock. If I stick another appendage in I feel nothing. Same if I stick my whole hand in deeper with...

Jandy Pro Series TruClear cell lifespan

Yeah, we got a ton of rain (12-15 inches over 2-3 days), and I had to dump water out a few times. My generator wasn't working for a few days either and my chlorine was down to 1%. I added some chlorine and cleaned the cell and I no longer get the low salt error. I got a salinity dip stick test...

Jandy Pro Series TruClear cell lifespan

Apparently the Taylor K-2006 test kit I bought doesn't have the salinity test chemicals in it (though the steps are listed on the inside of the lid).

Jandy Pro Series TruClear cell lifespan

Hi James, I get a lo-salt/lo-temp error and according to the manual it needs cleaning which I tried with a muriatic acid solution, but there was no bubbling of any kind. I'll test the salt level. Thanks

Jandy Pro Series TruClear cell lifespan

I have read that the cells can last 3-5 years, but mine seems to be spent after 18 months. I only joined this forum this year so I kept it running all winter even at very low temperatures. Could that explain why it needs replacing prematurely? Thanks

My SWG requires higher and higher RPMs to prevent "no flow" error

Update, I cleaned the filter and it was disgusting. Got a lot of stuff out of it but it's still really gross so will probably order a new cartridge. The "clean" pressure is now at 10 and the swg is working at much lower rpms. Thanks a lot for the quick advice.

Re: My SWG requires higher and higher RPMs to prevent "no flow" error Sorry, it's a Jandy Pro Series TruClear - - - Updated - - - It's 18 PSI now, the clean range goes to 20 on the indicator. I've never cleaned it.

My SWG requires higher and higher RPMs to prevent "no flow" error

I have a variable speed pump and lately I've had to increase the RPM on my day time schedule or the SWG keeps clicking between, waiting, chlorinating, and no flow over and over. I am currently up to 2900 which is near the max on the pump (cleaning cycle runs at 3450). The pool and all the...

Just received K-2006 kit, uh oh

Last night: FC 17 CC 1 This morning: FC 14 CC 0.5 The CYA sock is about 75% dissolved. I forgot to mention that I have a Dolphin robot in there who's been running constantly and I forgot to empty it last night. I did so this morning and there was a little bit of organic material in there...
