    Could be his excavator won't reach that deep and he would either have to rent a machine or sub it out? Just a guess though.

    Quick question regarding Skimmer installation with wall saver gasket

    You can do it that, but it defeats the purpose of the butterfly gasket. I was nervous about cutting the liner to instal the skimmer but I filled to 3 inches below the skimmer cut and it really didn't pull and I didn't have issues with leaks etc.
