Here’s an old thread asking the same question and many other people chiming in with similar issues. Seems liquid chlorine over time does add salt but not the level I’m experiencing. But since I opened it with a lot of baking soda...prolly explains things How much will salt concentration...

Leslie’s pools suggested that liquid chlorine is full of solids & will cause this problem. Any feedback here?

I realize the solution will be drain & refill but I’m trying to discern the cause.

CH 550 Tested again for salt level and it’s 5000 You can taste salt in the pool. Only major thing I do different than my neighbors who don’t have SWG is use liquid chlorine. There has to be something about this & the way it’s pumping in my pool that is causing it to crystallize & raise salt...

I DO NOT have an SWG. I use a chlorinator & follow this method on this site. I noticed water tasting salty. Tested it and it was 6000. Double checked at sun devil pools. Water is two years old. Do not have a water softener or RO or anything. No idea how salt would get in there. Theories?

Pool maintenance / services in Phoenix, AZ

Does anyone in the Phoenix / Chandler area have any recommendations for good pool guys who can service using TFP methodologies? I have a automatic liquid chlorine pump that feeds straight into my pipes. Just looking to delegate the maintenance end of it.
