Pump is about 5 ft above water level. I fill the basket but it has never worked. After reading the book on the pump, i upped the prime to 4 minuets before shutdown. It gets primed in about 90 seconds though. I also lowered the prime speed.

I may need little airation then, this darn pool climbs in pH prety quick on its own. Off to add MA and turn on the fountains. Thanks!

Mine does this everytime I clean the filters. Its a loss of prime in my case. I had to program a much longer prime-before-auto-shutoff to get mine primed again.

10 swimmers and 2 dogs usually equalls alot of splashout. Maybe you lost some CYA due to this?

My PB had my cleaner in at three days, the plaster was rock hard in one. I had dust until I put the bag on then it took about two days and it was all done. I would have to say if there is a risk of delam from running a wheeled cleaner, then the plaster was not properly applied to begin with. JMO

I sped mine up substantially by changing to a silt bag on my polaris cleaner. Amazon has them.

Our new pool has nicely stamped concrete and it is not slippery at all. This I attribute to the fact that the builder really made deep impressions when he stamped it. Its not rough in any way nor is it a slick or slippery surface. It probably all depends on how it is done.

I may have to try elevating it in mine to see how it does, I run about 500 for my pizzas and its just about right. I run it right on the lower grates though. Ill try your method.
