    Recommendations for above-ground SWG

Hi. I want to change to a saltwater system, but am having a hard time deciding on which one to get. Our pool is an oval 18 x 38, above-ground. The center is deeper, nearly 5' deep, and the standard 4' deep around the sides. I've looked at the Hayward Aquatrol, but it says it's rated for up...

Installation of SWG with existing automatic chlorinator

We're converting our aboveground pool to saltwater, bought an Intex SWG. We have an existing automatic chlorinator. My husband spoke to someone at Intex before we bought it, and he remembers they told him to keep the chlorinator, that we might still use it if the chlorine levels fall. We're...

    Can someone recommend a timer

How about the Hayward Timer Microprocessor SP1500FT? Anyone have any experience with it? We have a Hayward pump that it would work on.

    Can someone recommend a timer

It was an inexpensive one, and although it said it was for pools, it may have been for smaller ones. It was just a plug-in timer, and the pumped plugged into it. It wasn't hardwired.

    Can someone recommend a timer

Can someone recommend a timer for our above-ground pool? It's running a Hayward 1hp pump and we're going to add an Intex SWG to it. A while ago, I bought an Intermatic from Home Depot that said it was for pools, but the thing caught fire, and we ended up having to replace the pump. Thanks!

    Dose anyone use intex swg

Thanks for all the information! New2me, I see you have way more gallons than our pool is and are using one Intex. I'm wondering what you're using the Hayward CL200 for, though. Do you still need to add chlorine to the pool with a SWG?

    Dose anyone use intex swg

One would be nice, but I think they're only rated for 14,500 gal, and ours is around 18,000.

    Dose anyone use intex swg

I'm wondering about using two Intex units, as I have an 18 x 34 x 4.5 pool, about 18,000 gallons. I hate to have my power bill rise dramatically. Can anyone tell me how I could hook up two units, first, and how much electricity they draw? Thanks!
