I've had the same dust on the bottom of my pool this summer. I finally threw in the towel and emptied the pool and started with fresh water. So far so good.

It's not fancy but it is comfy.

Yes. The pool did not get warm enough to swim in it last summer and it was only used once so I figured I had nothing to lose.

This year has produced a bumper crop of Maple seeds and keeping the pool cleaned is an endless chore. Hopefully they will all be down in a few days and things can get back to normal.

Unlike other paints, latex will expand and contract with the vinyl, preventing cracks and peeling. But time will tell.

The gallon of paint was priced at 4.97 but was not advertised as being used on the space shuttle. ;)

I bought a gallon of the cheapest latex flat black paint at a discount home improvement store. Used about 1/3 of the gallon.

In an effort to raise the pool temp a little I painted it latex flat black today. Time will tell if it is any warmer.

I drilled the holes in the ladder tread steps to a larger size. It fills up and drains easier with larger holes.

It finally decided to warm up here and my pool temperature hit 60 degrees so today I opened the pool.
