    Order of operations??

After struggling with our pool for years, I am really trying to get on top of it and keep it up more diligently. In the past month or so I have managed to turn it back to blue from a green scum filled mess. I am to the point I’m not sure exactly the best order in which to get to the final...

    Push notifications?

Is there a way, or can it be added, to send push notifications from the app when items are overdue? Or if you haven’t logged test results in over a week? Things like that. I need more prompting to stay on top of it since we have such a crazy busy schedule, days get away from me before I even...

How am I getting different chlorine readings?

Ok, thanks! Either way, it's way too low for the CYA level. I even told them that when I was maintaining the pool myself, it did best keeping the chlorine closer to 5 (with a lower CYA). They wouldn't even listen and said they maintain pools between 1-3, regardless. Ugh...I wish I would've had...

How am I getting different chlorine readings?

We've had a maintenance company cleaning the pool since last February. I wasn't totally satisfied with them, but it was a DISASTER of a year last year (literally...) and cleaning the pool was the FURTHEST thing on my mind. The biggest complaint is that even though they come every single week, we...

At a loss...where do I go from here?

We had contemplated converting to SWG before, but just couldn't figure out if we could or how it would be better converting to salt from chlorine. We decided to get an in-line chlorinator instead for the time being. But then the valve on it broke like 2-3 times within a year so it was constantly...

At a loss...where do I go from here?

Sigh... Been a while since I've been on here. We were following TFP for a while with pretty good results. But, then life happens. I did most of the pool cleaning and testing. And then got pregnant. During the summer...in Houston. And it was my worst pregnancy yet. Soooo....things weren't getting...

Sad they have to drain the pool...

Just the replaster cost just under $2700 for plain white plaster. Not sure if they were builders or renovators. We had another guy set us up with them. All I know is they were just plaster guys, didn't do any other pool work it seemed.

    What did I do??

Right, sorry. Normal clean pressure normally runs in the 10-11 range. Our filter plug blew out when pressure reached about 30 a couple months ago so I've been leery to let it get too high again! I did add per instruction on the bottle right into the skimmer. :o/

    What did I do??

Darn it. The pressure on the filter ended up around 18 or so by the end of the day so had to turn it off. Wasn't home all day so just turned it on again. Still up about 16-17. I know in supposed to be running it continuously for 48hrs per the cya instructions. But I can't with such a high...

    What did I do??

Our pool finally finished filling this morning after having the plaster, tile, and coping all redone. So, I get the filter turned on, backwashed real good, refilled with de. Then I put in 2 jugs of bleach. I knew FC was at 0 and since it took a whole week to refill the pool, I knew it needed a...

Sad they have to drain the pool...

Well, we went ahead with the replaster! They finished up today and we're starting to refill! The pool looks AMAZING! I'm sooooooo glad we got it all done! The repair guy told us to get some Metal Out since we're refilling from a well. My husband went by Leslie's today and had them test the well...

Sad they have to drain the pool...

I guess my biggest fear with refilling with the well is running out of water! How long can you keep the water running continuously? I guess if the well pump is good enough it shouldn't ever run out. But for however long it takes to refill, we'll be turning off the pool to like takes showers or...

Sad they have to drain the pool...

The guy is starting today on the work to level the concrete deck around the pool and will next be replacing the coping and tile. He was saying they would have to drain almost all the water out since they have to get into the pool to lay the new tile. Makes me feel so defeated since I just...

Where do we go from here?

Awesome info!! You're right, I totally forgot to factor in that I will be upping my CYA when figuring where I should keep FC. Good point. The pool has been pretty steady at a pH of 7.5 so far all week. I'll test TA again on Saturday to see if it's changed at all. Great idea on the pump run time...
