Gluing Plastic Together... pool pop ups

More specifically I take it these are made from PVC... would the typical PVC piping glue be a good option? Haven't tried this yet.

Gluing Plastic Together... pool pop ups

Looking for suggestions on gluing pop ups back together... failure is mainly the lip separating over time. I've tried a few options, but don't last long. I take it the chlorine is fairly tough on the bond.

Pool Surface, Plaster Advice... with Pic

Thanks for the reply, this is my thinking also. The pool's in Phoenix and we don't have to be concerned with a water table to my knowledge. How do you perform a leak test? Only way in my thinking is reference to your normal evaporation and water fill, which would be a difficult calc without...

If I spray a hose into either port it comes out the other end. Filling the "fill tube" with water it does NOT flow to the pool. If there's a pee trap type effect with an air pocket... this can only prevent connecting the bodies of water IF its above the water lines, correct? If this is the...

New Pool / Pressure increases with cleaned filter

I agree and would think there would be no flow. The psi was at about 13 before cleaning and 18 after, very similar to what the previous homeowner stated (10yrs in the house). Maybe something backwards in the pressure gauge.

New Pool / Pressure increases with cleaned filter

New house, new pool. Cleaned the sta-rite cartridge cylindrical filter yesterday and noticed the pressure increased. The previous home owner also warned me of this and states he cleans the filter according to the pressure drop. Does this mean the filter assembly is plumbed backwards? The...

yeah, I will have a better idea once we view the house again. I just wanted to get some initial thoughts on how these systems usually work for my curiosity. Typically how much time should you run a lone pop up system. you need a special tool to pull these pop ups since the pool is empty, or...

    Dirty Filter Plumbing Questions

I do see dirt in the return even with good pressure after backwash, so to reduce this i'm thinking to backwash multiple times to clear. the sand probably needs to be changed, but it's a rental that I will NOT stay in long, so i don't want the hassle. when i grap a handfull of sand from the...
