Gluing Plastic Together... pool pop ups

More specifically I take it these are made from PVC... would the typical PVC piping glue be a good option? Haven't tried this yet.

Gluing Plastic Together... pool pop ups

Looking for suggestions on gluing pop ups back together... failure is mainly the lip separating over time. I've tried a few options, but don't last long. I take it the chlorine is fairly tough on the bond.

Pool Surface, Plaster Advice... with Pic

Thanks for the reply, this is my thinking also. The pool's in Phoenix and we don't have to be concerned with a water table to my knowledge. How do you perform a leak test? Only way in my thinking is reference to your normal evaporation and water fill, which would be a difficult calc without...

If I spray a hose into either port it comes out the other end. Filling the "fill tube" with water it does NOT flow to the pool. If there's a pee trap type effect with an air pocket... this can only prevent connecting the bodies of water IF its above the water lines, correct? If this is the...

New Pool / Pressure increases with cleaned filter

I agree and would think there would be no flow. The psi was at about 13 before cleaning and 18 after, very similar to what the previous homeowner stated (10yrs in the house). Maybe something backwards in the pressure gauge.

New Pool / Pressure increases with cleaned filter

New house, new pool. Cleaned the sta-rite cartridge cylindrical filter yesterday and noticed the pressure increased. The previous home owner also warned me of this and states he cleans the filter according to the pressure drop. Does this mean the filter assembly is plumbed backwards? The...

    Green Pool Help

Monday, discovered my pool turned green overnight. It's a lightish green color, with no apparent algae on the sides or steps, but when brushed dust is created. What I have done so far: I have only basic walmart test kit, but the stats look fairly good and pool store confirmed this. I did...

Testing Chlorine with 5-way HD kit

Topic split off by Moderator. I have the 5 way kit from HD and the instructions are very different from pool school. it stats FC and CC should be very similar, but CC should be 0 right? Are the definitions the same? This stuff is confusing. In the 5 way you test FC by adding solution and...

    Pool Newbie Chlorine Question

I'm not sure about "full set of results". I'm just using a walmart test kit: FC, CC, pH, TA. TA seems very high around 200ppm, but the pool store stated it was a good level... don't know how accurate the test kit is, or my eyes for viewing colors. 4 trichlor tabs seems high per the pool...
