    Blown out filter?

Thanks Richard. I'm going to do the larger one. Should be a simple install with the two threaded unions!

    Blown out filter?

Just came out to find my filter enclosure cracked and spewing water everywhere. Right now I have a Pentair FNS 48 and I was thinking about replacing it with a FNS 60 (which is just larger capacity). All the inlet and outlet locations are in the same place, so it should be an easy swap out. Is...

Help deciding on Easytouch vs. Intellitouch replacement?

Thanks. I think your right.. Just going to replace the board and see what happens. I only hope that it is just the board and that the pump controls or the salt cell interface aren't also damaged. I'm going to ask the pool lady to cover some of it.. Really ****** me off. -jr

Help deciding on Easytouch vs. Intellitouch replacement?

Hello, The pool lady left our easy touch enclosure opened prior to it raining and the inside got all wet and blew out the board. The board is turning on relays and valves, but the communication with the pump and the inside panel is not working. So I think the rs485/serial port was damaged. I...

    replacing lights? how difficult?

Thanks Jason. So, basically it should be simple. I pulled out the lights (not cable) while in the pool today and none of them seem like they are sealed where the cable exits the niche. There is some "green goop" on the ground connection in the niche, but I think that is some anticorrosion...

    replacing lights? how difficult?

Hello, I'd like to replace my lights with some of the pentair 5gs. I have two pool lights and a spa light. What exactly is involved with it? I assume just unscrewing the old one from the niche and pulling through the new cable? Do you need to seal up the conduit in the back of the niche...

    Help troubleshooting Mastertemp 400.

Replaced the thermostat and all is well. Brought the spa up to temperature just fine without any faults. Just putting this here to other searching can know the result. The part was about $40 online. Use a big screwdriver to unscrew the cap and replace. I was able to confirm it was the issue by...

    Help troubleshooting Mastertemp 400.

Seems like it might be the regulator/thermostat. Took out the regulator and am running it without regulator (this should just make it very inefficient AFAIK, but still work properly) and it appears to be running just fine. Here are some pictures of the regulator. There is some slight rust...

    Help troubleshooting Mastertemp 400.

Hello, Went to go use SPA last night and found it wasn't getting hot. Turned off heater and then back on and it fired up for a few minutes and then turned back off. Service Light was on. Initial error was HLS (High Limit Switch). I temporarily bypassed that switch to see if it was the issue...

Do I need intellitouch to achieve this?

Craig, Yes, it is strange. The SPA sits at one of of the pool and it spills over into "spillway" which is about 15' and then that leads into the main pool. So, I'm thinking they plumbed it this way due to the layout of the pool itself. You can see the pool via this screen shot from google maps...

Do I need intellitouch to achieve this?

Thanks Jason for your continued help. I do have one set (two drains) in both the pool and the spa. I agree the way you describe is that way that it should be done. So, is it not possible (or permissible by code) to draw both the jet pump and the main pump from the same set of drains? The other...
