oh thanks for your reply. This is my major concern. I am not able to spend enough time to research since I don't want to get my pool turn green for not taking care of it. About the sump pump, can you please send me a link for something reasonable? Do I have to install anything?

Will Hayward deliver and install it as well in a reasonable time? What pump should I go for as a replacement? how much $$$ is this going to cost me?

Based on what I understand from some reading my pump is April 2013. Can I still call Hayward or should I call local pool store?

OK I found the serial number. Here is the attached picture.

I took pictures of every label on the pump. One of the picture I posted shows some number. Is that the serial number? If not, how do I find it?

Thanks for your quick reply. I do not know how old is it. I live in my house since 3 years. I will try to to turn the breakers off and see if it help. I am really not handy at all. What is automation? where can I read more about it?

My pump does not start. I see the "Drive Error. Pump has stalled" message on the display. It is a "Hayward" pump. What do I do? What could be wrong? Who should I call to take a look at this and fix it?

Is it safe to use the smart stirrer (the X piece) in all the tests that this test kit can do?
