    Long term closing

So I've been thinking about closing our pool long term (8-9 months), or maybe even a couple seasons. We have a 4 month old baby which doesn't leave much time for maint. or swimming. Normally we get it open and its all fun for a couple months then the use slowly goes down until time to close for...

    SWG not working

We had a lot of rain recently and now it's not working. Won't even power on, wondering if this may have something to do with it. When I plug it in it trips the breaker to the outlet. I can't get the pic to load, but the small box beside the control box is cracked and has rust color in the...

    New pool, skimmer

SWG goes after the filter. That's all I can contribute.

    New pool....few questions.

I have the over the wall round skimmer that came with our previous pool, but I haven't used it this year due to the arm cracking from dry rot I suppose. I do have the Intex saltwater system which had been great for keeping the water nice and clear. All I do is run the pump for 6hrs at night and...

    New pool....few questions.

I would think yes, it will interfere. But I don't use one (blanket), I would think the skimmer may try to suck it in and cause problems with low water flow to the pump/filter. If you use the blanket, you may not need to skim much as the blanket will keep leaves and such from getting in the pool...

    Sinking frame!!

Yes, it is insane. I almost broke a sweat just reading that.

    Intex Ultra Frame liner "pocket"

Mine gets water in it all the time when it rains. I don't do anything about it and don't have any problems.

    Sinking frame!!

Jack it up and put something under the low legs to spread out the load. Pavers, 1x4s, 2x4s, ect. It's no big deal, it happens a lot when things start to settle in.

Intex owners: did you leave yours up over the winter?

I have the same pool and left it up last year. I am in the Moore, Oklahoma area and never know what to expect with the seasons. I left it up because I was tired of patching holes from it being stored folded up in the garage. I dropped the water below the return, taped the holes with duct tape...

Successfully jacked up an Intex/Summer Escapes pool

I wouldn't try it with one of those scissor jacks, they seem abit wobbly. Another tip is to cut a "V" or "U" shape in the 2x4 where it meets the top rail, just for a little more security. And here I thought jacking the pool up this way was my idea. lol Everyone looks at me crazy when their pool...

    Leveling ground for pool

Is there any way to split the diff., dig 2", fill 2". Might save you from having to buy dirt.

Small debris getting back into the pool!

Mine does the same, even with a brand new filter. I haven't tried to remedy the problem, it doesn't bother me that much. But I like the idea of putting the bag over the return, I'm gonna try that next time I vac.

    Poking up through liner

I'd prob drain it and fix the problem so you don't have to worry about it the rest of the season.

    Newb Intex Skimmer Issue

I have the same skimmer and this may tell you just how cheap I am, but I don't even have to tighten the screws anymore. Hang a garden brick from the skimmer, I use parachute cord and wrap it around the screw that adjusts the skimmers height. I know I know, and don't worry, I always take the...
