Types Of Floors For A Pool House?

I had mine ground and polished with a diamond grinder. It exposed aggregate and left the floor looking like terrazzo. Looks better than tile but not cheap to do. It is not slippery.

    CYA Pool Calculator

Three weeks ago. Are you saying that reports are that some products are less strength than the packaging states? I will check the size of pool again, but don't think it could be that far off. I will retest in a few days. I still have the package the CYA came in and will check the label. Thanks!

    CYA Pool Calculator

I have a newly re-plastered pool. I add 4.5 lbs or 72 ozs of CYA. The pool calculator with my given pool size shows that an addition of 68 oz required to bring CYA to 30ppm. I test CYA with Taylor kit and get something considerably under 30. Completely filling the vile past the 30 mark... or...

    Fine Tuning With BBB

I am a new convert to dosing and have not quite figured out the best time and how many times it should be necessary to hand dose per day. To start with I have dosed morning, noonish and before dark. When you are at the optimum test wise i.e. everything in range, how many doses should do the job...

    Water Sampling Tool

Since I am really tired of kneeling on concrete and reaching into the water a full arm length to get a water sample, I made a tool. Really simple (don't laugh) but after using it for a week I am loving it. Cut about 6 inches of 1 inch PVC and glued a cap on one end and then clamped (stainless...

Need some help before construction starts

I like some green around a pool actually I like a LOT of green around a pool. The various landscape textures, pool and decking work together to create a very nice environment. Everything doesn't have to be concrete. The advice I give to anyone building a new residential pool is .. don't build...

    SWG/Ozone/Nature 2

We owned a Nature 2 for about 10 years. I am not sure it ever actually did anything. The cartridge is/was around 100$. I was constantly battling the mustard algae. We have a different house and pool now and I would never consider installing Nature 2 again. Currently I am hand dosing 10%...

    LOW CYA Chlorine Efficiency

Thanks all! So below 30 ppm CYA there is no sun burn off protection? .. at 30 you have minimal burn off protection.. or is 30 where you get all you will get ...and at 40 ppm for example you would have the same burn off protection as at 30ppm? Thanks for bearing with me on this. I keep thinking...

    LOW CYA Chlorine Efficiency

Great forum! Thanks for the help!! I am hand dosing 10 % chlorine. Our pool is in the sun. I am confused as to why I want the CYA at 30 or above. If chlorine is more efficient with low CYA... it seems that keeping the CYA low at maybe 10 or 15 will use more chlorine due to sun but since it...
