I buy from pool store because they say it’s not old. And I store inside because my garage is super hot. Not sure how safe it is but so far so good. I think I’ll test mine too.

Anything you put back in the pool may have the spores. Did you clean behind the light? Change or backwash filter material. Clean it. Vacuum to waste the loose algae. I’m fighting it too, and these are things I’ve tried/read. I’m about to slam again. Has anyone used an ionizer?
