I know that my chlorine has been high enough for a couple days according to the cya/chlorine chart. But it is still cloudy. Could it be because my chlorine is too high?

Ok, so I just dont think that the filter is clearing the cloudiness in the water. we did wash the filter out, the pressure does not change. I would think all the shocking would increase the pressure if the filter is trapping the dead algae. I guess I will keep shocking.

Why do I hear conflicting ideas about changing sand in the filters? Do we do it or not? Why do some say yes and some say no?
