I'll test tomorrow again as I have a wedding to get ready for tonight. Should I test CYA tomorrow morning or should I wait longer to get a better reading? Pump/filter will be running non-stop.

I poured it directly into the skimmer.

Added 1lb of powder (granular) stabilizer. I have 2 more gallons of 10% sodium hypo but can pick up more. Can I test CYA right away or give it a few minutes to let it work around?

Found this chart. My pool is roughly 8k gallons. Need to check the chlorine type I have but fairly certain I have calcium hypo.

This might be a dumb question and I'm new to pools. I only have liquid chlorine. How would I know how much 10ppm is?

My pool went from green and full of algae to cloudy sky blue to now deep blue but still cloudy. Initially put about 6-7 gallons of 10% bleach and then it was cloudy so I put in some old clarifier which made it even cloudier - white small particles could be seen. Bought a new filter on Monday...

I ended up hooking up the pump filter just to make sure it worked and there were no leaks. The pump/filter works great and PSI was hovering around 10. The new issue is now with the return outlet/inlet. I filled the water level to just about the middle of the skimmer and fired up the pump...

When you say replace as much water as I can, do you mean draining/refill or running the pump/filter?

I live in Lemont. - - - Updated - - - If I order the TF-100, is there anything I can do in the mean time to start cleaning up the water or should I wait until I get a test kit? I have the filter/pump ready to go but I don't want to run it for no reason.

Is this test kit any good? Taylor Technologies K-2005 DPD Complete Chlorine Kit I can go get this today or tomorrow morning. I would order the TF100 kit but it looks like it would take 3-5 days to arrive and would like to start this process ASAP.
